Abinav Leva, DPM is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon with specialized expertise in trauma, Charcot neuroarthropathy reconstruction, and advanced foot and ankle implant systems. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care that restores function, preserves limb integrity, and enhances quality of life.
Born in Topeka, Kansas, and raised in El Paso, Texas, Dr. Leva earned his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Exercise and Sports Science from Austin College. He went on to complete post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Texas at El Paso before earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with distinction from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University.
Dr. Leva completed his surgical residency at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He then pursued a Reconstructive Foot & Ankle and Limb Salvage Fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he focused on complex reconstruction, trauma, and implant-based techniques.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Leva has held leadership positions within national, state, and local podiatric organizations and has lectured at multiple conferences on diabetic limb salvage and complex reconstructive procedures. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, following Formula 1 racing, and spending quality time with his wife and loved ones.
